Type A, this machine has a Brunsviga like decimal shift, which was later replaced by a front lever.
All of these machines were made in the Dzerzhinsky factory in Moscow, later in Kursk
In all following machines, the material for the drum was changed from brass to a zink alloy (much cheaper). However, after some usage, the pinwheels became stuck together (the German expression is Zinkpest) and the machine was not usable any more.
